Our rooms
Country Inn Hotel Cuello de Luna offers 22 single, double, triple and family rooms.
Thereof seventeen comfortable, rustic furnished, nice and cozy well-kept "standard" rooms with open fireplace.
And five "superior" rooms, equipped with wood burning oven, goose down blankets and pillows, double glazing windows, hydro jet shower.
All our rooms have private bathroom with hot shower, hairdryer, toweling.
All beds are equipped with electric blanket (electric heated mattress pad) with shut-off mechanism to prevent overheating.
Drinking Water: We care about environment, to reduce plastic waste we provide free filtered and ozonated (-> ozonized) drinking water in the rooms and at the front desk. PET bottled water is offered for sale.
Our beds are Ecuadorian standard sizes: A "cama de plaza y media" corresponds to a twin bed or single XL bed and measures: 105cm x 195 cm ,a "cama de 2 plazas" or "cama matrimonial" is a full or double bed and measures: 135cm x 195cm.
Heating: Due to climate, altitude and location and specially due to hacienda style construction Cuello de Luna can be a rather cold place at night. Therefore all our rooms have an open fireplace (standard) or a wood burning oven (superior) where we burn firewood from our property. In addition, all beds are equipped with electrically heated mattress pads to preheat the beds. We recommend switching off after bedtime.
Electric heaters are also available. For electro smog sensitive guests we are happy to provide traditional rubber hot water bottles for free.
Telephone: worldwide connection at front desk, paid.
WiFi: satellite internet is available for free, but occasionally slow and unstable due to atmospheric conditions.
TV free: TV is not available in the guest rooms, however for special events and occasions we grant TV access.
PET-FRIENDLY: We accept PETS in the hotel without charge !! PLEASE NOTE the following rules and conditions:
Pet-owning guests are exclusively responsible at all times for their pets, including food, feces, care and eventual damages.If extra cleaning becomes necessary, additional cleaning charges apply. We do not have staff to care for pets nor do we provide care and supervision services. Out of respect for other passengers, WE DO NOT ALLOW pets in the restaurant or in and on the beds in the rooms, without exception and under no concept and circumstance !!We have five gentle dogs (2 medium mixed breed, 1 Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) and 2 Saint Bernards) that are never chained or confined and that move freely around the outside of the property.It is not advisable for pets to be left unattended and alone in the rooms for a long time, e.g. during guest excursions. We recommend bringing your own basket, bed or blanket and transport cage or similar with which the pet is familiar for its comfort and to avoid damage to the room.
